PTSD Coach “Smart Phone” Application

Launched in April 2011 by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense, this phone application has already helped thousands of military veterans get the help and answers they need.

VFW Unmet Needs Program Helps Soldiers Pay Bills at Home

Financial assistance of up to $2500 in grants is available to help with mortgage, utilities, insurance, food, rent, and auto payments for deployed military personnel or those whose need is a direct result of military service.  The grants, which do not need to be repaid, are given after each case is reviewed individually by a committee. If granted acceptance, then all funds are paid directly to the creditor such as the electric company, bank, etc.

The Unmet needs program is part of the VFW‘s National Military Services.  If you are currently deployed or are in the military and need of assistance, you may apply by:
