Pets For Patriots Military-Discounted Adoption Program

No man left behind is a phrase well-known by any soldier.  But who’s looking out for man’s best friend?  Pets for Patriots special mission is to unite abandoned, abused, and neglected pets with life-saving military heroes.

Military personnel adopting pets receive a minimum 10% discount for the life of the adopted pet’s care and access to additional cost reductions for pet basics, such as food, toys and essential supplies.

Pets for Patriots also care for veterans.  They recently helped a dying veteran find an adoptive home for his dog,  Gizmo.  Read the full story in the well-named “Wet Nose Blog”   Dying veteran seeks home for beloved dog

Pets for Vets: Carolina Patriot Rovers

Leave it to America‘s finest to develop the means to train pets for vets. The Carolina Patriot Rovers, under the direction of Captain Robert Stillwell, US Army, and with the assistance and guidance of David Cantara, a “Patriot Guard Rider”, found a way to train dogs that eventually become therapeutic companions for OIF/OEF veterans.
